Abridged History of the 10th Age
Half-elves in Arunë suffer from exclusion by both familial parties. Other elves (particularly Anuneiä and Oronëneiä) tend to look down on them as lesser citizens than full-blooded elves. Even in the lands of men, they find themselves somewhat excluded as humans regard the elves with something approaching awe and fear. For this reason, half-elves have a hard time adjusting no matter what society they grow up in, though the Wood Elves do tend to treat them somewhat better than the Wind- or Isle- elves.
