Abridged History of the 10th Age
Every dwarven clan has its own heraldry and every official clan has its heraldic records kept in the halls of the Arinnfal. Dwarven heraldic blazons are within either a circle (for circular shields) or a sharp geometric shape (for irregularly shaped shields). All dyes used to depict dwarven heraldry are made by grinding and crushing gemstones and mixing them with a fixer and a strong paint. Dwarven pennants and banners, however, are simply sewn through with glittering gems. For this reason, no dwarven heraldy contains any colors that cannot naturally be found or compounded from naturally occurring gems.
