Village Population: ~600 Government: Baron Silus Bankwater Defenses: The baron’s house knights

Bankwater is a small village on a dry spit of land in the mire. It has few amenities for travelers; a single inn run by the men of the Duke stands watch over the well-square called the Deepdraft Keel. It’s roof was made from salvaged ship parts that washed downstream on the East Fork. The other buildings of Bankwater are unimpressive sod-roofed huts. A low unmortared stone wall provides the town its only measure of defense.

Just up the hill stands the manor of Baron Silus Bankwater, a minor noble who’s rule only truly extends to the borders of his town.
